| The old photos are quite wonderful. It was hard enough to get a decent photo in shed conditions.
These look as if they were done with a plate camera so it must have been doubly difficult |

Some comments on your photos:
02a Some mistakes here. The 4-4-0 is a Precursor. Experiments were 4-6-0s - see 04a. The 0-8-0on left is not an LNWR G1 or G2 or anything, A chap called Ted Talbot wrote a book about LNWR 0-8-0s. Believe me! It is an L&Y engine - see 8-wheel tender.
05a looks like a parcels train or similar. First vehicle is a horse box.
05b is heading west. |
