| The last day of services of any kind at the now run down Hillhouse yard involved 08295 shunting a few Railfreight Flats around the yard, i was the only one there to witness the event, and was able to get photos of the Driver, Local shunter, and a 2 man team, (if anyone recognises themself please contact me), the guys were all to pleased to pose for me and one took my photo in front of 08295, since then the yard has been turned into various small business plots, the main one looks to reclaimed stone.
Finaly thanks to John Whitaker the date of closure is June 1985. |
